Eine sehr grobe Abschätzung kann aus den Verbrauchsdaten erfolgen:<br /> <br /> [[Datei:Heizlastabschätzung.png|alternativtext=Heizlastabschätzung|zentriert|mini|366x366px|Heizlastabschätzung]]<br /> Die Heizlast Θ&lt;sub&gt;HL&lt;/sub&gt; ergibt sich aus dem Jahresverbrauch in kWh multipliziert mit dem Jahresnutzungsgrad η geteilt durch die Vollaststunden t&lt;sub&gt;voll&lt;/sub&gt;.<br /> <br /> Der Jahresnutzungsgrad η ist die &quot;Güte&quot; der Heizungsanlage. In diesem Faktor finden sich die Auswirkungen von Kessel, Verteilung und Wärmeübergabe und Trinkwassererwärmung. Bei ungedämmten Verteilungsleitungen verringert sich der Jahresnutzungsgrad um etwa 0,04. Für Brennwertkessel kann für den Jahresnutzungsgrad η ein Wert von 0,89 bis 0,96 eingesetzt werden, Pelletheizungen liegen bei 0,7 bis 0,8. Für die Vollaststunden kann ein Wert von 2.000 eingesetzt werden (je nach Region 1.600 bis 2.100 Stunden/Jahr).<br /> <br /> Beispiel:<br /> <br /> 30.000 kWh / 2000 h = 15 kW.<br /> <br /> <br /> Dies ist aber nur eine sehr grobe Schätzung.</div>
